Animation with Jon Anderson

May be Jon's most digital record ever? Anyhow he handles the synthetic landscape with warm curiousity, not with some too cool coldness. In same piece post punk can be intertwined with samba. Even humour seems to spin around the over-technifying tendencies he saw in 1983.

To be able to make a masterpiece of still quite progressive music with that early 80's equipment, is amazing in itself. Jon's joy and wonder of life remains the serious essence, ultimately focused in the long title track Animation about a child (his own?) taking her first breaths in this world.

including Spider and Spell as bonus tracks
