Picnic at Hanging Rock

strangely enough never seen by me until now

made in Australia, released the golden year of 1975
showing a girl school's dreamlike outdoor day in 1900

directed by Peter Weir who I afterwards realised had made Dead Poets' Society which I saw in contemporary time

including a magical music score by Bruce Smeaton
