Travelogue with The Human League

eLe

From where the 80's just started, in this sense with a groundbreaking trip cross the synth pop field. Human League transformed those space sounds of german synthesizer experimentors into something songlike and catchy (as well as Ultravox transformed punk rock into similar synth pop). At the same time we can call this disco or early electronica I guess. Though it gets less stars from allmusic I think Travelogue shows more well-spun material than both Reproduction before and Dare! after it. Especially if they had cut off the last seven among these seventeen tracks...

most Loving song: WXJL TONIGHT (Radio 10.000 W)

most Amusing song: ONLY AFTER DARK

most Beautiful song: GORDON'S GIN

most Sexy song: THE TOUCHABLES

most Smart song: DREAMS OF LEAVING

most Strange song: ROCK'N'ROLL /NIGHT CLUBBING [by Bowie]

most growing Strong song: CROW AND A BABY
