Costello has turned 58 years already now. While the 70's turned
into the 80's he made his very most energetic tracks (still with The
Attractions). GET HAPPY!! would have been my favourite Elvis-album - if
he had stopped after half the songs. But as he sang: "I can't stand up
for falling down". On the other side it has it's charm that the second
part of the double album is less glimmering, rather dark, giving the
clown his shadow to lean upon. Although my head clearly remembers only
songs from the first, more light and springy half. Anyhow whole album
seems to be a modern tribute to soul and R'n'B.
