Four Californian Albums (And A Piper)

Rediscovered by me now

Mamas & Papas (from Los Angeles)

Jefferson Airplane (from San Fransisco)

Lemon Pipers (from Ohio, but gives me californian vibes anyway)

Byrds (from Los Angeles)

Doors (from Los Angeles)

Fascinates me how well you can hear that they were made in California around 1967. All the albums are extremely good orchestrated, not seldom by organs and xylophones, tambourines and classic guitars, flutes and horns. And not at least rich choires from the bands themselves, backed up by living base & drums. There is a nice and tough vibe at same time.
