Small Faces with Small Faces

Not their first but their second self-titled album, seems more genuine soul-rock than Ogden's Nut which was a bit lost in whimsical psychedelica. Small Faces 1968 I think is more cast in one piece, though it consists of many shorter stones. Each one is not easy for me to remember, takes many listenings to get a clear picture, which I still don't have here. However it's straight rock-soul and I see they're great pieces.

Good night, Yulo! This is from someone else's story. From the beginning it is in swedish. The girl came from the very north. But since the boy has grown up, it can be almost anywhere. Like in the middle of a chess game... Time and place just depends on who's taking part on who's side. In our whole world there's at least four sides. And since we implemented eight days a week in the good old 80's, that gives you thirty-two positions to choose. Well, then we haven't even counted what goes on in the dark. On your computer screen the black tower seems to be higher than ever. The emotions you have built and built from childhood, curiosity and melancholia in strange proportions, they begin to look like something really beautiful.

Since you've lived on two opposite sides now (in endless possibility as well as absolute restraint), you don't know what to say when someone begs you to stay. Through The Looking Glass with Siouxsie & The Banshees

Even when she mirrors her band in other band's music, Siouxsie sounds as Siouxsie. This I believe is a great ground for making good covers. Here is a whole album with such covers, covering quite different artists.

Especially fascinating for me is to be brought back to 1987 but not by 80's pop songs, rather by mystical 70's pieces and even older. Some of these must have been more forgotten then, than today, less available for the young audience to listen to and compare. Before I only heard Siouxsie making Helter Skelter, a decade after Beatles in a punky way. Next decade here, as they had drifted far away from punk, they still seems to do whatever they do in a tough, uncompromised and well-polished way.

Carey Mulligan in two Recent Movies

In some lightning Carey Mulligan has one of the cutest faces I've ever seen. Especially when she smiles, laughs or cries. But in half among every scene she seems quite harsh or nonchalant.

Anyway she shows some deep ability to melt into action movie as well as love drama. Her characters are being both strong and sensitive, self-sufficient and dependent at the same time. The woman is like a girl and the girl is like a woman...

Pinewood Rally with Björn Skifs & his Blue Swede

whose swedish name was BlåBlus. Their 70's albums I just had heard on L.P. in the 90's. But now a CD-box with five first full leghth records has been released.

Realise they still made very soulful music, treated with both joy and strength. Brass accompaniment drives almost every track here (1973) and I still often love that sound, but now feels some bits too much or simple here. It's produced and arranged by Bengt Palmers.

Also includes early version of Hooked On A Feeling [composers shifts from rock to schlager to blues to italian to themselves].

Travelogue with The Human League

From where the 80's just started, in this sense with a groundbreaking trip cross the synth pop field. Human League transformed those space sounds of german synthesizer experimentors into something songlike and catchy (as well as Ultravox transformed punk rock into similar synth pop). At the same time we can call this disco or early electronica I guess. Though it gets less stars from allmusic I think Travelogue shows more well-spun material than both Reproduction before and Dare! after it. Especially if they had cut off the last seven among these seventeen tracks...

Reasons Why She Should Choose Me

Mastermind puA Todd learns me that being clear and honest with why some woman would want me instead of anyone else - this focuses my beliefs in a way that sparkles more potential attraction. A specific list also triggs better than just "I'm good". So, another ten reasons, my own example:



1. I will be a unique experience, since I'm leading a life most guys don't do in similar age or similar circumstances.

2. We can have much interesting talking before and between sex, cause I'm both funny and deep to talk with.

3. I have lots of wonderful movies, mystic books and nice music + I am open for discovering even more.

4. I appreciate her handle some area in life that I am not practicing, such as cooking, driving a car, doing official research or using her body in some artistic way.

5. I love to look at her (from every angle) and she can feel free to let the world watch her, appreciating her beauty almost as much as I do.

6. She can also teach me alot about how to kiss, caress and have really good sex.

7. I will not judge her for being slutty, having almost immediate sex with me. And I will not judge her if she has sex with someone else before or after me.

8. I'm probably not a part of her social groups, yet, so she has no reason to fear the beginning of our relationship will conflict with status issues within that network.

9. Except my belly I give a much more youthful impression than many guys in my physical age.

10. Sometimes I'm able to give her very much time, not having to work all day long (+ able to easily leave my work for travelling together, if I choose to). Sometimes I have no problem finding more important things to do.
