yesterday's YES and Time And A Word with YES

I now try to do one common estimation of both their earliest albums:
YES (1969)
and TIME AND A WORD (1970)

Before Yes really became that big progressive band, before Howe and Wakeman arrived... I still do like Chris Squire's and Jon Anderson's interpretations of own and other's songs, maybe even more since they are more like... well, songs :-) no one longer than seven minutes maximum, but already played like they were symphonies or opera arias.

Anyhow the music's in full blossom of late 60's feeling. As eclectic and nice as on Deep Purple's very earliest albums, some would find it impossible to tell from here where the band would land later, while I find it not too far away.

most Loving song: THEN [by Jon A]

most growing Strong song: BEYOND AND BEFORE [by Bailey, Squire]

most Strange song: HAROLD LAND [by Bruford, Squire, Jon A]

most Smart song: THE PROPHET [by Jon A, Squire]

most Sexy song: I SEE YOU [cover of Byrds]

most Beautiful song: SURVIVAL [by Jon A]

most Amusing song: EVERY LITTLE THING [cover of Beatles]
