Continuing of Tomiro's Novaettir Book

Friday 44:th of October 2048

Do you have too much to do, Tomiro?!?! Almost 1/4 of official time is spent expecting how much time you really spend. Seems you never get finished.... Parallell to your work as cave cleaner in our biggest bicycle labyrinth, you control small clouds before they develope chaotic air behaviour. Tonight you succeded relax enough to read two pages in Metro 2033, the sci-fi-novel you found forgotten under "floor corner 8" in our human appartment you lend. The Moscow-based story was created fourty years ago, long before we dissolved Sweden. Exciting whether you will experience it as nostalgia or still futuristic?!?!

Saturday 45:th of October 2048

Finally we've got an upgrade version of your reality to November [named no.00]. It's tailor-made for non-humans, especially easy to use for your 8-fingered sort of people. Nonetheless you seem to be rather satisfied being stuck in October?! These dirty oil-colours, streaming down & upside every kind of street, you find completely cosy?! Like you have no need for Sankta Tomas to come closer.... Or do you fear that our system would lock your senses inside eternal confusion? Tomiro, you must be conscious without us! Well, we won't install no.00 - until you show more clean curiousity or some deeper shame.

Sunday 71:st of Novaettir 2048

Tonight you felt a new signal behind your heavier heartbeats. Afraid some pieces of darkness gonna rain down from space?! Tomiro, why not light up that strange owl on chimney top, becoming your guardian angel?! Rather you crawl deeper inside this mushroomish sofa, under a castle of blankets. Believe you've already written down your recent dreams?! It's we who makes your total recall. While you're snoozing... inbetween movie scenes left from electrified badger brains. Finally we start what humanity would've called November. Immediately we put you faraway through Novaettir, so you've got more time to reflect - at least back upon.

Into The Gap with Thompson Twins

Strangely enough I've never really discovered T.T. until now

Well, what a spiritually joyful band they seem to be
without loosing some robotic coolness
like a balance act between the superficial and deep

or at least a tremedously creative record Into The Gap is!!

Don't know if anything can ooze more of 80's than this??
even if more dance pop than my ordinary taste -
had I heard it contemporarily in -84, I would've loved it

as my Autumn Album # 18:6

most Whole Soulful song : YOU TAKE ME UP

most Introspective Dreamlike song : SISTER OF MERCY

Returning to Costello's masterpiece Imperial Bedroom

Dynamic as hell and heaven, really bitter and really happy, emotionally a bit more complex than the six albums before... still these actual "classical" arrangements makes some pieces the most "pop" Elvis ever has done.

Recorded in October -81. Released in July -82. Discovered by me first -05, deeper -13, now again -18. During -81 the boy I was was rather occupied by discovering Beatles. Only saw Costello on idol cards modern then.

Fantastic work! Produced by Geoff Emerick, who lend a hand to Beatles' post-Pepper records. Cover picture is playing with Picasso's "three musicians", which may represent the band members = The Attractions.

Harder to grasp for me is why he/they have put almost every slower, melancholic or harsh tune on the A-side - and almost every faster, bouncy or spiritual song on the B-side!! Surely I experience some moods differently than other listeners, but anyhow potential reasons :

Maybe it gives a strange kind of (un)balance? Or he/they prefered a clearly divided album? Or just created them in that order? Or intended to lead from despair up to joy in a longer process? Or to reward the audience who survived the first side?

Beginning of Tomiro's Never Ending October Book

stories built by 100 words for each diary page

Saturday 31:st of October 2048

Hello, Tomiro! Today you played with some other vaettir. You went out in the swedish streets, where almost no humans live anymore. Many houses miss their doors and windows, so your friends believe they can visit anyone's appartment. Summer has suddenly come back, making it too hot to stay inside your cave. Here those angelic seagulls move air and dust around. You've been told to jump from shadow to shadow, but some little longer sun glimpses won't hurt?? Tomiro, the older vaettir knows more than you think!! However they haven't grasped yet how many humans really died in last tornado.

Sunday 32:nd of October 2048

Good evening, Tomiro! Today you discovered more traces of this Earth's growing ending ...or what you believe to be destructive. Mushrooms have begin intertwining themselves with books and even smartphones left after dead cities. Monstruous flies pretend to be weak, then eat up swollen spiders too lazy to crawl away. Close to a castle you saw Big Ants' Parade collecting human gold for their church. You don't know whether that's a perverted or progressive sign. Today was less hot than yesterday - so we hope you vaettir people will catch classical autumn inbetween?! Though tonight Sweden dives fast, facing ice again.

Monday 33:rd of October 2048

This frosty morning you saw some kind of nuclear robot?!? It just stood there, outside the never closed food store, and stared at you!?! Tomiro, we think you felt that creature was of russian heritage - and had something clearly mystical to do with the disappearance of humans, in parallell to these ordinary tornados. So you didn't dare fixing some breakfast... but strolled around from museum to museum of every half-empty kind, which during human times were closed on mondays... until early evening when your vaettir companions made a party of today's collected treasures. Tonight the summer warmth has come back.

The Original Soundtrack by 10cc

Gouldman, Stewart, Godley, Creme 1975

Without being a film score, but maybe pretending it is...
Like a good movie this album has a great bit of everything : Humour, Beauty, Thrill, Drama, Philosophy, Form, Mystery.

as Autumn Album # 18:2
by kinda chakra based evaluation

most Whole Soulful song : THE FILM OF MY LOVE

most Introspective Dreamlike song : BRAND NEW DAY

most Expressively Amusing song : UNE NUIT A PARIS (part 1), THE SAME NIGHT IN PARIS (part 2), LATER THE SAME NIGHT IN PARIS (part 3)

Above or Below everyone (my favourite piece now) : FLYING JUNK

Reminds me most of :
A Night at The Opera with Queen
A Woofer in Tweeter's Clothing with Sparks
Breakfast in America with Supertramp

Took me at least ten years before experiencing this to be their most rich record... felt more immedite for Deceptive Bends -77 and Bloody Tourists -78. Believed just Gouldman & Stewart did really nice, but now realise how great role Godley & Creme must have played for the experimental drive as well as big (satiric) ambition.

The Big Blue : Le Grand Bleu

Rediscovered Movie 18:2
seen on BluRay

story and direction by Luc Besson
production by Patrice Ledoux
music by Eric Serra

France /Italy 1988

Happy Role [Joy] : JOANA BAKER (Rosanna Arquette)

Grumpy Role [Conflict] : LA MAMMA (Alessandra Vazzoler)

Sneezy Role [Thrill] : ENZO MOLINARI (Jean Reno)

Dopey Role [Humour] : UNCLE LOUIS (Jean Bouise)

Doc Role [Idea] : NOIREUTER (Jan Rouiller)

Bashful Role [Mystery] : JACQUES MAYOL (Jean-Mac Barr)

Snowwhite Role [Beauty] : someone among the Dolphins (some dolphin)

my favourite scene now : inside the capsel down... as belgian diver Noireuter tries to convince the sicilian Enzo about the absolute danger of tasting alcohol on that big depth... but only get playful responses to his seriousness... inspiring even Jacques to behave childish, like Enzo is king of the sea even if he's not...

Astrud Gilberto with or without Turrentine

a sweet as well as soulful blend between bossa nova
and schlager jazz (with some country blues slings)
as it just could've been and was made around -71

as my Spring Record # 18:2

Glorious songs in a nicely shifting string of pearls
but quite dubious or strange taken as an album
"Gilberto with Turrentine"

Why is this saxophonist half of the title?
when he's playing only on four tracks
[could've been great as an EP stuffed with samba]

while more tracks are played by the flutist,
the guitarist(s), organ, percussions
and many strings creating the windy, dreamy space

where probably sax should've sound too sharp
or too happy if would've danced every time with Astrud
whose beauty often is based on melancholy
(except in the whisling tune here she wrote herself)

Well, I'm just beginning to know Gilberto
= many albums and songs to go......

by kinda chakra based evaluation

most Soulful song : BRAZILIAN TAPESTRY
[composed by Eumir Deodato]

most Imaginative song : SOLO EL FIN (for all we know)
[composed by Fred Karlin a.o.]

most Amusing song : JUST BE YOU (Bonus)
[composed by Astrud Gilberto]

most Beautiful song : WHERE THERE'S A HEARTACHE (there must be a heart)
[composed by Bacharach and David]

most Strong song : ZAZUEIRA
[composed by Jorge Ben]

most Sexy song : PONTEIO
[composed by José Carlos Capinam and Edú Lobo]

most Rooted song : TRAVELING LIGHT
[composed by Deodato and Everett]

Above and/or Below everyone : TO A FLAME (instrumental)

Furthermore than other Bossa artists, this Reminds me most of : Francoise Hardy, Gordon Lightfoot, Sandie Shaw, Mia Martini, Monica Zetterlund, Cat Stevens and of course Burt Bacharach by many singers

Blue Velvet leading heavenly through Bloody Darkness

a deeper study than before of Blue Velvet
Rediscovered Movie 18:1

Realise how well it fits into the world of Lynch *
sowing seeds for Twin Peaks as well as Mulholland Dr.
making a human story of Eraserhead's surreal phenomenons

also intriguing how much here shows in rather Red
not at least Dorothys dress and appartment
even though her dreams may be more blue

with music by Angelo Badalementi + some early 60's themes

Escalator with Clifford T. Ward

sung and composed by Clifford T. Ward 1975
which I would've called Baggins' Jigsaw Puzzle

probably one of the most forgotten albums you can imagine??
deeper inside some wardrobes than memories are able to sleep...

anyway a nice discovery for me, clearly
quickly escalating in its calmness
yes, really lights up the very ground of my musical taste!

even if a pair of pieces doesn't makes sense
for example beginning each side with slow, melancholic tracks
like the ending ones wouldn't have been enough soft to lean against
