Artists and Bands I've heard most Albums by
among the "at least 3 albums" listened to = totally 181 music artists
(collections are in general not counted here, only original works, or if the compilation consists of such in retrospective, plus some specially collected (live) versions)
"to have heard an album" I define now as having listened to every track on it, at least three times... and still keeping some rememberance of the whole concept as well as special parts...
in some cases the number of albums tells how much I love their music - in other cases just how many/few records they have made
music creators like Burt Bacharach, Fats Domino, Louis Armstrong, Paul Anka and Owe Thörnqvist I've listened alot to though it doesn't show here

Mad Ladder
Mad Ladder stands in the middle of a snow field, wide and winding. All day long reaching for the moon... Mad Ladder never grasps it, just gets too tired when evening falls. Down on his bed of snow again, this heavy earth seems to be the home of Mad Ladder. Maybe he believes he is a mountain??? Many living creatures tries to climb his empty stairs. At least he thinks they try - why otherwise pretend to climb...?! Camels come and reindeers go, exchanging a trace of sadness. Mad Ladder feels he would also like to climb, although another ladder. What if she would lead down instead... then the moon could be found somewhere under this snow?? That should make Mad Ladder much gladder! With one hand he immediately dives deep into the white. But his other hand still wants to strive high, up through the dark sky. Once again Mad Ladder gets his mind broken and his heart confused.
same words in a more poetic version:
Mad Ladder stands in the middle
of a snow field,
wide and winding. All day long
reaching for the moon...
Mad Ladder never grasps it, just gets too
tired when evening falls. Down on
his bed of snow again,
this heavy earth
seems to be the home of Mad Ladder. Maybe
he believes he
is a mountain???
Many
living creatures tries to climb
his empty
stairs. At
least he thinks they try - why
otherwise pretend to climb...?!
Camels come
and reindeers go,
exchanging a trace
of sadness. Mad
Ladder feels he would also like to climb,
although another
ladder. What if she
would lead down
instead... then
the moon could be found
somewhere under
this snow??
That should
make Mad Ladder much gladder!
With one hand
he immediately dives
deep into the
white.
But his other hand still
wants to strive high, up through the dark sky.
Once again Mad
Ladder gets
his mind broken
and his heart confused.
inspired by Camel's music plus even more a phrase of Emerson, Lake & Palmer, maybe written by Crimson's Sinfield, to be found here :
sadder ladder still can turn to glad

my Process of GENESIS
I've listened to Genesis for almost exactly ten years. Now I try to make a reconstuction of the timeline, along which I fell in love with each piece.
So it's not an ordinary best of Genesis list. Still every track here has passed the gates into the deeper parts of my heart and memory.
To make the picture even more full, some special solo works of either Banks, Collins, Hackett, Rutherford or Gabriel is mentioned in between the mainly group creations.

YELLOW ALBUM (a Too Big Reconstruction)
...if, in another dimension, I would reconstruct a Beatles double album, based on material from Yellow Submarine, Sgt Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour and their singles between late -66 to early -68 [according to Recording dates], then I would build it like this, a calendar of holes in the ocean...
A-side
1. Penny Lane
2. Magical Mystery Tour
3. I Am The Walrus
4. When I'm Sixty-Four
5. With a Little Help From My Friends
[including end of ...Club Band]
6. All Together Now
7. Yellow Submarine
B-side
8. Hello Goodbye
9. Hey Bulldog
10. Being for The Benefit of Mr. Kite
11. Your Mother Should Know

99 Absolutely Best ABBA songs
in other words everyone!
Another session of ABBA-listenings has filled my last week - for which time in the history...?
So now I feel the simple passion for making a complete list - of how much I adore every song, compared to each other. Even though this will drown in everyone elses ABBA listings, I have some really unexpected darlings.
Last time I did this was during final days of -04, before new year -05, soon ten years ago. Discovered every bonus track and version I hadn't heard until then... many via the box "Thank You For The Music" compiled -94.
Believed I would feel almost the same for them now, but some tunes have actually fallen from the tower, while others have risen surprisingly high.
At least tried to weigh in the lyrics as much as the music and moods of the melodies. And since very exact positions are relative, I've also taken the chance to make my list a bit poetic (as I use to do).
