ENO yet shining his hot jets
On the bus home from spanish old towns and french pretty cities - on german motorway - I realize more and more again how a terrific record Brian Eno made as his first solo "Here Come The Warm Jets" by -74.
Here comes the hot jets, all ten tracks on the album, but in the shape of which other bands (their way of playing) each track reminds me most of. Bands which Eno himself had produced or played in I leave outside of this comparision.
Needle in the Camel's Eye
SPARKS or MOTT THE HOOPLE
The Paw Paw Negro Blowtorch
KINKS or THE WHO
Baby's on Fire
SLADE or ALICE COOPER
Cindy Tells Me
MAMAS & PAPAS or SUPERTRAMP
Driving me Backwards
JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE or BEATLES
On Some Faraway Beach
CAMEL or PROCOL HARUM
Blank Frank
STRANGLERS or DOORS
Dead Finks Don't Talk
FRANK ZAPPA & THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION
Some of Them are Old
BEACH BOYS or QUEEN
Here Come The Warm Jets
BLACK SABBATH or NEU!

Bengt Palmers didn't only collaborated with Björn Skifs. Here he also helps Harpo & co making a superhit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CfjYatfZRY
Harpo didn't only pretended to be (or not to be) a movie star. Here he plays a kind of clown too.
